James W. Leach, Founder/President

Jim Leach is a professional engineer with more than 40 years of experience in the design, construction, and development of sustainable housing, cohousing, planned neighborhoods, and urban infill development. The overlapping of these talents is what sets Jim apart from many developers. Throughout his career, Jim has led the industry in creating green building strategies and community-based housing that combine high-quality design with maximum value. Jim has been a spokesperson for the solar energy movement since the early 1980s and was active in the writing and review of the Boulder Energy Code. In 1997, Jim was inducted into the "Built Green Hall of Fame" by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Denver. His award-winning neighborhoods have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, National Association of Home Builders, National Council of the Housing Industry, Urban Land Institute, and The Congress of New Urbanism.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering and a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Colorado and a master's degree in construction engineering from Stanford University.
Tanya Toot, General Manager

Tanya is responsible for the financial and legal matters for all of our developments. She has over 20 years experience in financial analysis, financial administration, and construction accounting and also has an interest in real estate development. She holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Texas-Austin. Tanya is a PTO board member at Erie Middle School, choosing to make a difference for students, teachers, and the local community. Her family is her priority, and if she has time left, she is into yoga, reading, and baking.
Steven Toot, Vice President

As vice president of Wonderland Hill, Steven Toot oversees the design and construction management of our projects. He brings over 20 years experience in residential and commercial construction. Prior to joining Wonderland Hill, Steven ran his own general contracting company, Sterling General Contractors, which primarily served Boulder County. Having completed many projects over the years, he understands the needs of homebuyers and owners, especially in the areas of quality, sustainability, and customer service.
Tere Mann, Office Manager

Tere Mann lived for thirty years in western Minnesota. After more than 20 years as a massage therapist and community activist, she came to Boulder in 2004 as a graduate student in Naropa's Environmental Leadership program. Tere's expertise includes over 40 years proficiency in bookkeeping (thanks to her mother's early training) and previous work as an office manager for health care providers. Tere teamed up with food coops and buying clubs for over 30 years and has a deep desire for community living, local and organic food, and the gifts of a cooperative lifestyle. Tere lives
in the Nyland Cohousing Community and enjoys immersing herself into
this vibrant community.
